Q&A Beauty Secrets Ft. Fashion Blogger Annie Vazquez

Meet Miami Fashion Blogger, Annie Vazquez of TheFashionPoet.com, who has been featured on Vogue Brasil, TODAY Show, Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, Nylon Magazine, Paper, The New York Times, Life.com and Refinery 29. She created the first Fashion Blogger’s Night Out in Miami and co-created the first ever-networking event called Fashion Blogger’s Do It Better. Lynnette Joselly from Eména Spa had a chance to go one on one with Annie as she dishes on her beauty secrets and upcoming hair trends. Check out the interview below:

eména spa: Why did you initially start a blog?
Annie: I started the blog to do feature local designers & boutiques & style events. During the time, editors weren’t buying homegrown stories about fasion since there wasn’t enough money in the budget due to the recession so I decided to do something about it by starting my blog.

eména spa: What is the story behind your blog’s title?
Annie: I love poetry and fashion and both are kinda of the same in my eyes. They are both carefully curated and when pieced together they both produce something beautiful.

eména spa: What do you do when you are not blogging?
Work wise. I am fashion consulting with brands and companies and putting together style events in the city. The newest one is Fashion for a Cause Campaign. 35 bloggers will be joining foces to raise funds for breast cancer with Peace Love World & Bloomingdales. Our event is October 17 at Bloomies Aventura.

Fun Wise: Well, I just produced my first short film called Blogging: Behind the Seams and I love to dip my hands in everything creative. I also like going to concerts and singing with my boyfriend. He’s an awesome song writer and musician.

eména spa: Please share one hair or beauty tip with us.
Annie: Keep your beauty creams in the fridge. They last longer and feel amazing when you put them on.

eména spa: What’s your daily makeup routine?
Annie: Mascara, BB Cream and lipgloss.

eména spa: What are some beauty / fashion trends we should look out for?
Annie: Faux Mohawk. With the punk trend being huge for Fall, this hairstyle is unique and statement making.
